It was good theater. Angry questions with little or no response from the pathetic Secret Service Director who repeatedly perjured herself, a prosecutable crime! Repeated urging for her to resign which she did the following day. Dollars to donuts she will still get a pension and all the other perks. However, as usual, little was learned. It was said if Trump were killed she would have been culpable. Isn't she culpable for the death of Corey Comperatore and the serious injury of David Dutch and James Copenhaver?
About the Secret Service:
The Secret Service was formed July 5, 1865. It now has a $3.1 billion budget and was considered the premier security force in the world. The shooter had a drone in the air, yet somehow the Secret Service couldn't go about ten miles to Clearview Mall to buy one. Since then, they have demoted themselves to amateurs by deciding it is too risky for Trump to have outdoor rallies! If we didn't get him killed, this will slow him down by limiting where he can campaign?
On the other hand, the people who screwed up, or were in on the Butler catastrophe, are still running the Secret Service! The Deputy Director, now Acting Director Ronald Rowe, according to testimony by Cheatle, is likely the one who actually has been making all the decisions regarding Trump's security, including all the decisions regarding the Butler Rally! And now Congress is falling for his BS and expressing confidence in him? How stupid can they be?
Fun fact: The Secret Service is too busy investigating bank and credit card fraud to spare people for actual security which is why you will find the heads of security at banks are a majority of ex - Secret Service.

Before the UFC, (Ultimate Fighting Competition), boxing and wrestling were the popular spectator sports. The local NBC affiliate, WPXI used to have wrestling every Saturday evening. Wrestling had a known theatrical quality, good guys and bad guys, sometime changing roles. In Pittsburgh, Bruno Sammartino was a good guy. I met him. The whole story. Briefly:
David Karesh led the Branch Davidians claiming he was a “Messiah” and had 17 children with several women and two minors. The ATF heard from a Postal worker that the Branch Davidians were getting guns in the mail. Not illegal. There were also allegations from disgruntled Branch Davidians detailing Karesh’s behavior. An informant was sent in who said they were converting the guns into automatic weapons and had explosives. Even though Karesh jogged every day and could have been easily arrested, a raid was ordered that was a colossal mistake with four ATF agents killed and twenty injured. After the Ruby Ridge fiasco, Attorney General Janet Reno wanted an end to the 51-day siege and ordered the FBI in with 100 personnel and three helicopters. Tanks rammed the building with tear gas and flash bang grenades were launched. After about six hours, the building caught fire in three places with 76 Branch Davidians killed including 28 children. They also had bullets wounds with the FBI claiming they didn't shoot during the final siege.
Congressional hearings were held. Congress absolved the government but did say the raid was “premature.” Reno took responsibility for the attack that ended in a fiery disaster and went on her way to continue as Attorney General with no consequences. In fact, the LA Times said, “she was a folk hero for taking responsibility!”
Attorney General Holder held in contempt over “Fast and Furious”
Started November 2009, the infamous Eric Holder/Barack Obama “Fast and Furious” operation, where mostly semiautomatic weapons were actually sold to Mexican drug lords, resulting in thousands of Mexican citizen murders and the murder of a Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
Hearings began with documents demanded by Congress. Obama, at Holders’ request, declared Executive Privilege over some documents.
June 28, 2012 - The House of Representatives votes 255-67 to hold Holder in criminal contempt of Congress. This is the first time in American history that the head of the Justice Department has been held in contempt by Congress.
And that is as far as it got! Congress could have used its Inherent Contempt Power and arrested him till he produced the information. The DOJ certainly wasn't going to prosecute the boss.
IRS Director of the Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner targeting Conservative groups
The IRS targeted 292 conservative groups they identified by words such as “tea party,” “patriot,” and “Israel” prior to the 2012 Presidential election to keep them occupied and unable to participate in the election. When it was first discovered and reported, the blame was placed on enterprising employees in the Cincinnati office. When Lerner was investigated by Congress, her emails suddenly vanished, and her hard drive crashed. “Mysteriously”, about 400 backup electronic devices were also destroyed. When she appeared before Congress, she famously made a speech, then decided to invoke the 5th Amendment in response to every question!
Twice charges were referred to the Department of Justice and twice it declined to prosecute. She rode off into the sunset with her pension and all other perks like nothing ever happened.

The naming of parents peacefully questioning school boards considered domestic terrorists. The persecution of Traditional Catholics. The many escapes from justice by Hunter Biden. And of course, the law fare persecution of Donald Trump coordinated from the White House after he decided to run for President. Including the illegal and unconstitutional appointment of Jack Smith.
Garland’s latest outrage? Refusing to give the House the audio tapes of Special Counsel Hur’s interview with Joe Biden. They already admitted the transcript was altered, better known as tampering with evidence. My thoughts? The audio tapes have already been destroyed. Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a rookie, proposed using Congress’ Inherent Power of Contempt to arrest him and hold him till he complied. It was decided to fine him $10,000 per day till he produced the audio record. A vote was put to the House which was defeated with four Republicans actually joining the Democrats, leaving Garland still thumbing his nose at them and “We the People”.
