Idiot do good politicians and environmentalists are a major cause of worsening a lot of these major fires. Stay safe out there!

Thank you Jim. It is a constant battle made tougher that the idiot governor is a climate cultist. We got a pleasant surprise a few years ago when the head of an environmental group, Futurewise, became the head of Department of Natural Resources. Before her, DNR was pretty arrogant. We personally as neighbors fought several fires. When DNR would FINALLY show up, they say back off, we don't want anyone hurt. Not even a thank you. ALL orders came from Olympia! Crews would SIT AND WATCH a fire burn till Olympia said they could fight it!

Everything I talked about was Franz's doing. The politeness. The Incident Commander being able to call in aircraft and how many HE or SHE felt necessary!

I was getting long in the post but there is a big difference between fires, hurricanes and tornados.

You can put a fire out. You can also make your property safer by keeping trees and trimming brush away from the immediate area of your house. That's why so many houses burn in California. They build RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF a FOREST with no way to get out.

Keep up the good work👍

FINALLY have rain, if it doesn't turn into a twister, we are still cleaning up after the last ones. Yes multiple. And it's July-Aug. that are our southern hottest, lack of rain months that damage buildings and crops. But I've seen Dec with 80+ temps and the AC on. 1 inch of snow paralyzes the Memphis area. We don't have the snow equipment the NE has. As snow is seldom, it;s more Ice storms.

Yup. It's summer and tornado season. Stay safe! We lived in PA and we don't miss the humidity. My wife has pictures of her daughter and niece in their Christmas dresses sweating from probably 1980.

Two edged sword here. It is true oil use is not causing climate change. However, dousing us with chemtrails is changing the weather for the worse.

When we first moved to the area in 1987 they were throwing salt/cinder off the back of dump trucks, we now have small plows that can be removed.

In 2010 we had a big flood, the Mississippi River overflowed, and the Navy Base had to be evacuated as the levy broke the entire South Side rushing water, people in housing had to be rescued, and Commissary, Exchange, and many buildings needed extensive repair, the base is BUPERS a record-keeping base, files were pitched, computers ruined.

But it didn't stop there, it went on to the Elit$ section of Nashville.

Many Military who have Male Patern Baldness do. And as he is in the deep south it's cooler. My 52 yr old wears his like that as he has Male Pattern Baldness. Neither have Tats defacing them.

Inside joke. Story about some friends. Around here, a lot of people have on the gate to their property a placard that basically say "Private property. All local and federal officials need permission to enter or are trespassing." The local building inspector was driving by and my friends wife was near the gate. He asked if her husband was a white supremasist. She, being fairly liberal, was horrified. "Why would you ask me such a thing?"

Answer: "You do have this sign on your property and he does have a shaved head."

Her answer: "That's cause he started going bald in his 20's and finally gave up and shaved his head!!!"

Are you okay down there? Saw some massive flooding in your area Saturday.

The storm gained speed and damaged property, and homes all the way across Tennessee. My Sis in Sierville had some damage, it got her husband's wheelchair ramp. He is Mid Stage late onset Duchenne MD.

FIRE BUGS AND CONTROLLED BURNS ALONG WITH LIGHTENING STRIKES,

Expand full comment

Yup. Arson and stupidity. Controlled burns have gotten away from "experts". Think it was New Mexico that Forest Service burned down a whole town because did not heed the high wind warnings in the weather report.

Wow great article and a lot of fascinating technical details. Here is more fuel for the fire: https://frederickrsmith.substack.com/p/mother-gaia-gone-wild-21-04-06

Thank you Frederick. Great essay. You mention the "Thirty Mile Fire". What an incredible pile of B.S.! The colossal pile of catastrophic errors! I mention the extreme physical shape of wild land fire fighters. They sent an out of shape office person to be a fire spotter. It came up the hill behind her without her ever seeing it. The fire could have been stopped at 5 acres.

Regarding the Spotted Owl, when we were still in PA, on "America's Voice Network", saw a hidden video from Sierra Club meeting where they were strategizing how to shut down logging and came up with the Spotted Owl ploy. Could never find that video again. On our way across the country, we went through a few towns that just dried up because they shut down logging.

Thank you. Back burn down here with forecast of big wind burned a whole town down in New Mexico a few years back. First thought. Does SOMEONE ELSE have their eye on these properties like in Hawaii?

Gotta love that propaganda! Cities don't burn. Wait, didn't a town just burn beyond recognition in Hawaii?
