The publication of personal information puts everyone affected at a heightened risk of becoming victims of identity theft and other crimes. The committee said the release of sensitive information such as Social Security numbers was a "mistake." Where is the apology and process to give these victims with new identity to protect their constitutional rights? The mother of Ashli Babbitt, a demonstrator who was shot and killed during the January 6 Capitol riot, was arrested near the Capitol on 1/6/23. Video footage posted to Twitter showed Babbitt’s mother, Micki Witthoeft, being escorted by officers into a Capitol Police vehicle.
