Great article Dave. We might be well past writing our appointed officials. I wrote to them for over a year with lots of questions and no responses.

Thank you. Possibly because they don't fear losing their jobs because the system is so rigged. We have to change that. Glen Morgan's motto: "the future belongs to those who show up."

Every time I write to my congressman with a complaint, they never reply... All they do is add me to their fundraising list!

P.S. Yes, contacting officials just gets you harassed on the donation lists. And I just had to pay $60 to purchase four -- count 'em F-O-U-R -- Chinese light bulbs from Amazon. 3-way bulbs, but.....

No one actually believes a Democrat will get punished for interfering with Congress do they?

It most likely is in every state. Goes back to the 'You can't falsely yell fire in a crowded theater', where lights are low, and it's difficult to get out. Wasting the Fire department's time and resources could prevent them from a real fire call. It was a childish thing to do for a grown college college-educated educator. Some form of punishment is required so others learn it's not Kosher to do dumb things.
